Dissociative Identity Disorder
DID used to be called Multiple Personality Disorder, but has since been
reclassified. I have this. I'm the host body. Most of the time you might
just think I am moody, but really we're switching between alters. Often
this is seamless. Other times not so much and can be problematical.

I have 11 personalities, myself included. Most respond to the name
Steph OK, but sometimes they might tell you who you are really talking
with.

Imagine driving and having a 5 year old switch in? Fortunately, my 15
year old can drive, and comes to the rescue should the driver blank out,
which can happen suddenly. Sometimes we buy things we don't recall
buying. Things go missing. If an alter gets annoyed, they have many
ways of retaliating.

This was caused mostly by early traumas, but some in later years
formed older alters. Not all of them are nice, many of us self-harm. It's not
a happy thing, but we survive. Years of therapy have done some good,
but there is so much more to fight through.

So if you see us sleeping with stuffies, or playing with legos, don't sweat
it, it's just the littles playing. Often we refer to ourselves in the plural.
Now you know why, We, as a whole, make up Stephanie.
