The following are suggestions for punishment poker. The rules should be modified for the situation and players likes/dislikes. the poker game itself is played as usual. ==================== Version 1 ==================== This version is primarily for when all the players are subs/slaves/masochists/etc. Start everyone with the same number of chips. Each chip represents some agreed upon standard punishment, ie one swat with a paddle. At the end of the game, everyone has to recover enough chips from the winners to have the same number of chips as they started with. Dealer sets the ante before anyone sees their cards. Ante is a minimum of one chip and a max of 10. Options: Combine with strip poker where clothes go first, once someone is nude they then use the chips. Settle up at the end of each hand instead of the end of the game. Everyone has their own color chips. At the end of the game or each hand the loosers have to pay to recover their chips. People who want can buy additional credit by using IOU's with special punishments written on them. Everyone in the game has to agree on the value of the IOU. Ante, instead of chips, everyone puts on a clothespin. You get to remove all the clothespins only when you win a hand. ==================== Version 2 ==================== This version is primarily for couples or groups where the number of masters/slaves, Doms/subs, tops/bottoms, sadists/masochists are about the same. Some of the ideas came from a chat with rya on irc.dal.net. Everyone has their chips marked in some way so you can tell who started with which chips. The chips of the Masters/Doms/Tops/Sadists represent rewards.The chips of the slaves/subs/bottoms/masochists represent punishments. As an example, the standard reward chips might represent money for shopping, adjusted for your budget. Say the reward chips are worth 25 to 50 cents each and maybe the next value chip up is worth 10 times the basic chip. The punisment chips might represent a medium swat with a paddle adjusted for the level of play you want. The next level up might represent a medium/light stroke of the cane worth some multiple of the basic chip, perhaps 10 basic chips to the next one up. Or it might be a severe swat with a heavy/severe paddle. Or it might just be 10 basic swats. This allows you to have chips of different values. Depending on your individual likes/dislikes/etc would affect the details of the values. Next you can have special chips. These would be numbered and there should be an equal number of reward and punishement chips both in number and value. Special Rewards might be a night out, sub's choice, dinner/dancing/movie. It might be a shopping trip (with a preset maximum limit). The bottom/sub should probably list possible rewards. It might be breakfast in bed for a week. Special punishments might be something out of the ordinary. Something the Dom/Top wants to try that the bottom/sub is not interested in, but still willing to do. This might be wax play, perhaps a special dinner. Perhaps it is wearing some special costume. All parties would have to approve the rewards and punishments and their equivalences. If multiple couples/people, then the Rewards/Punishments are only to/from the people who use the chips, ie if Master A has a dinner/movie chip, then Master A is the one responsible for delivering the reward for that chip. There are several options on play. At any time, players may exchange equal value chips. In general, at the end of each hand or at the end of the game, chips are exchanged until everyone has only their own chips left or the other person has no chips to use to redeem theirs. Once this is done then the remaining chips they have from other players represent their 'winnings'. Normal chips are exchanged/redeemed immediatly for their reward/punishments. The specials should be scheduled and redeemed as soon as convienient for the parties involved. Depending on what you like/dislike, you may also have chips that take effect immediatly. Perhaps wearing of clothespins until the chips are won back or the end of the session. Or the dom/top is the one to fetch drinks/snacks until the end of the session. Depending on the players desires, you might want to set a timelimit on the game or maybe play in 30 minute or one hour blocks of time. At the end of the time you have to settle and get all your chips back.
