Finally Finalgon
I have an ambiguous relationship with chemical play. While it can eventually produce very intense endorphin highs the process of getting there is, er, not nice.

And I don't mean just painful - there's plenty of things I do to myself in scenes that are painful but somehow more bearable. I think it's to do with control - in most activities it's a continuous process of doing it to myself and can moderate or vary it.

Chemical play is different. Once applied that's it for at least twenty minutes as you're thrown into an abyss of agony - unless you want to abandon the scene you're totally a passenger. It's impersonal, relentless and merciless.

So for me it isn't my normal masochism in terms of enjoying the process - it is a pure, agonising ordeal. It's not masochistic pleasure, it's a personal test of my ability to withstand pain, a test of will. Nevertheless, occasionally I crave it much as I hate it, as a test, of pushing my mind and body to extremes.

So far my experiments had been with Deep Heat and then moving up to its Extra Strength cousin. I kept hearing fearsome accounts however of a German heat rub called Finalgon, which sounded like something out of a bad WW2 war movie - "Vee haff vays off making you talk!"

I bought a tube months ago but such was its reputation I wasn't game to try it until now.

Note that there are three varieties of Finalgon - a "mild" one using cayenne pepper, "stark" (strong) using Nonlvamide derived from capsicum combined with Nicoboxil which opens up the blood vessels so that it's absorbed more quickly. And finally there's the stuff of legends if not outright terror, which seems to have various names but the most common name I've come across is Finalgon 4mg/g + 25mg/g Salbe, with the same chemicals as "stark" but at 2.5 times the concentration. This is in contrast to the Deep Heat rubs which are menthol and methyl salicylate.

I used the only one generally available in Australia, just called Finalgon Cream, which is the stark. And has the helpful message on the tube "This cream is hot"!

One particular important piece of advice is to apply it with a gloved hand - you don't want the stuff lingering on your fingertips afterwards in case you touch say lips or even rub an eye.

The second is to test it on a not too sensitive piece of skin and allow five minutes before you evaluate the sensations.

The third is NOT to rub it in! And only use say a 5mm dot to cover and area the size of your hand a little goes a long way.

So I started first with a comparison test, putting Deep Heat extra strong on my right nipple and five minutes' later Finalgon on the left. In comparison Finalgon was more intense, and in particular had a sort of pins and needles feeling to it, but it wasn't overwhelming. I was slightly disappointed :-(

So the next destination was my anus. WOW, now I knew where this stuff got its reputation. I was in agony in a couple minutes, indeed off the bed and bent over on the floor opening my arse cheeks to get air in to help cool the fire down! Obviously the thinner and more sensitive skin took it up more quickly.

Having waited for that to cool down (as in vaguely bearable, still not nice) I tried the head of the penis. Again, nothing too extreme, initially.

So I then went to a recommended place, putting it on the crevis where the thighs meet the abdomen. And HOLY SHEEEIT it was nearly as intense as on the anus, with the prickly feeling particularly strong. I assume again thinner skin.

This started to settle down and then the penis head started to become extremely painful - it was quite different from the pins and needles sensation, it was like a heavy clamp was on it. And meanwhile the nipples were becoming intrusive again - obviously on thicker tissues it takes a while to be absorbed but once there it stays around longer. Around my left nipple was swollen way more than the right one, the crevis around my thighs was glowing red and the penis head was swollen and red as well as agonising.

And that was as far as I wanted to go, no friggin' way was I going to put this stuff on the penis shaft or my balls!

Eventually things started to die down after c. 50 minutes and a massive endorphin high was starting to take over, but even as I'm writing this afterwards the thigh crevises are still hot and sensitive.

So... I survived it. Which is what chemical play scenes to me are like, relief together with a sense of achievement in enduring pain, but not enjoyment.

I was surprised at how differently different parts of the body reacted to it, but even if the effect was relatively mild initially it got you in the end. And given how intense this goodness knows how the top end Finalgon feels!

So Finalgon goes back into my toy drawer and will stay there for a very long time. Been there, done that. But I'm sure eventually, months down the road, I'll want to try it again.
